Magali Hannegan

Hello My Name Is...

Señora Hannegan

I was born in Brazil but grew up speaking Portuguese and Spanish. My father was from Bolivia and I would spend my summers there where my love for the language and culture developed. I moved to the United States in 1992 and had the opportunity to teach Spanish. I majored in Marketing at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, Brazil, then through CT Alternate Route to Teacher Certification I was able to get my Spanish certification. Later I earned a Masters in Technology Education from the University of Connecticut. I have been teaching K-8 Spanish for fourteen years. I love the kids, the staff at Center and Hall Memorial School and the community. Looking forward to another exciting year!
